Overview
Good food, lovely staff, light and airy. I like this place a lot, and have experience going using a walking aid, and electric wheelchair. Also a hearing impairment. Staff will help in any way they can so just ask. Advice; Check the bar is open if you need flat access. Check your wheels will fit round the tight turn in corridor between bar and restaurant. Park across both BB spaces if you need to fully open side door of vehicle.
Transport & Parking
Two very narrow Blue Badge spaces to the left of the building. If a car is parked in each space, side access to both is impaired. If both cars parked nose first, there is ample driver side access for the car on the right, and rear access for both vehicles.
Access
Acess from BB spaces is along flat pavement. Theres a couple of steps down from pavement with handrails, then up to front door. Fully accessible inside for ambulent disabled. If unable to do steps/using wheels, continue along pavement to flat bar entrance on the right side of the building. If bar shut, you need to request access via this door. Once inside you go through the bar to access restaurant, though tricky in wheelchair if bar is busy as narrow. Disabled toilets are accessible through door at back of bar as is the restaurant. Flat access to disabled toiket. To access restaurant, you need to negotiate a narrow 90 degree turn in the corridor. This may be difficult for larger/longer than usual wheelchairs, or mobility scooters. Once round that corner it is fully wheelchair accessible with tiled floors and plenty of room. There is a staircase to the upper floor function suite and no lift.
Toilets
Excellent clean accessible toilet. Enough space to manoevre your wheelchair, and accomodate support from a carer if required.
Staff
Always extremely helpful and will do their very best to help you in any way they can. They have reserved specific tables for easy access and away from speakers to accommodate a hearing impairment.
