Overview
Good place to drink near Kings Cross, shame about the toilet size!
Transport & Parking
This pub is just round the corner from Kings Cross station, and all the roads you have to cross have dropped kerbs and traffic lights, making the trip fairly straightforward, except for navigating through the crowds...
Access
There's 2steep steps into this pub, but to their credit they have a ramp on standby, and depending on what time you arrive, you'll either encounter very helpful, friendly bouncers/doormen, or slightly clueless, rushed bar staff, who will come and assist you with the ramp.
Toilets
This is possibly the smallest toilet I've ever used that was specifically billed as "Accessible". You can just about squeeze a wheelchair into the space and shut the door, but there's no room to turn around. I highly doubt a powerchair would actually fit. It makes transfers very tricky! There were at least handrails on either side of the toilet, and the emergency call cord was in a reachable position. There was also a mop in the corner, blocking my access to the hand dryer. So be warned on that front.
Staff
Staff were on the whole very friendly and helpful - but obviously, this is a busy pub, I'm quite short when sat in a wheelchair, and it's easy to get ignored or forgotten.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
For a (relatively) hassle-free pub near Kings Cross for central meet-ups and drinks, as a wheelchair user, I'd recommend it. They do at least make an effort to be accessible, unlike many other pubs. I saw one other wheelchair user in there as well, I took that as a sign of user approval! However, if you're in a powerchair, definitely consider the toilet size when visiting.
