Overview

This is essentially a place about the First War of Scottish Independence back in 1314. Robert the Bruce and Edward II fought here, that's what I learnt. But the building is brilliant and the landscape was nice when it was sunny!

Transport & Parking

Had a lift and use the disabled bays right outside the building.

Access

4.5

The inside of the venue was all on one level. The cafe is laid our well with different types of tables and chairs to suit different needs, though they are a bit too close to area in some areas. The shop and exhibition area all flat and signs are large and easy to read. Outside is very accessible with wide paths and steady ramps.

Toilets

Great accessible loo.

Staff

Very cheerful and happy to talk. The cafe was very busy as it was lunch time but the person was very calm and took everyones older and made sure everyone got what they wanted.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

Nice place for a pit stop and to learn a little about Scotland's history. The landscape and statues are very impressive.
