Overview
We were staying with family in the area and decided to go to see avatar. I have to say I was extremely impressed with regard to the help and accessibility for the cinema. The cinema is situated near the start of a pedestrian walk way in the town. There are three blue badge parking spaces near by , but also a car park again with a few blue badge spaces only a few minutes walk away. Entry to the foyer is up a ramp that also has an automatic door . Once in the foyer a member of staff came straight up and offered to help us with the small lift that takes you up to the booking office and where you get drinks etc. We went to join the queue of four people , but the staff member who was helping us said no need to do that I will sort out your tickets and anything else you want. This he did and then carried our drinks etc through to the screen and made sure we were settled . He said if we needed anything at all just go back to the ticket office, the cinema has five screens, three downstairs and two upstairs . The upstairs ones are accessed by a lift these two have wheelchair seats at the front whereas the ones downstairs have wheelchair seats at the back . Which I prefer. Each screen only seats between 60-100 people by the look of it . The seats are large high back and very comfortable. The leg room between the rows was very spacious. So much that I didn’t have to stay in my wheelchair but could sit in the first seat . That was a real treat for me . As it meant it was easy for others to pass by without me having to move and I had plenty of room to stretch my legs out. We would certainly go back again as the staff and set up were great. I’ve not been to a cinema before that was so geared up for disabled guests and so helpful.
Transport & Parking
We parked in the main car park as the one with three blue badges was full, but this car park was on,y a few minutes walk down an alley way.
Access
Access was great ramp and automatic door to get into the foyer, lift inside which was operated by a member of staff to get up to the booking office and where you get food and drinks . A member of staff carried our drinks etc and made sure we were settled into our seats . There was also a lift that took up to the stairs two screens .
Toilets
We did see an accessible toilet but this wasn’t used
Staff
Staff were fantastic and couldn’t do enough to help us . We Seoul’s certainly visit again
