Overview
A fun, interesting and accessible alpaca trekking experience in Stirling. Great fun for all ages! Spend time with the barn animals and alpacas before going on a trek to Flanders Moss National Nature Reserve.
Transport & Parking
The site is still being developed so there is no set parking as such. However, when we arrived the owner guided us through the gate and let us park directly outside the barn door. This was ideal was us.
Access
The alpaca trek is completely wheelchair accessible and all on the flat. There are no steps at all. I found the alpaca trek very enjoyable and easy to do in my power wheelchair. There were two cattle grids to cross during the trek, but these were easy to cross and the owner stood behind me in case I needed a push, but it wasn't required.
Toilets
Again as this attraction is still in the early stages and being built, there are no toilet facilities yet. The owner offered us the use of the toilet in his own private caravan. If you need an accessible toilet I believe the nearest one would be at Trossachs Woollen Mill, Kilmahog, Callander FK17 8HD which is only about 15 minutes away. The owner is currently building a visitor centre and cafe, which I'd imagine will have an accessible toilet.
Staff
The owner is very warm and full of fun. He made us feel completely welcome and at ease. He was incredibly informative and it was great to hear his stories and interesting facts.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
I will definitely visit again when the visitor centre and cafe are built. It will also be lovely to see all the new alpacas and go on another trek with them. It costs £22 per alpaca you wish to take out on a trek.
