Overview

A beautiful setting for a converted barn stay. I was struggling to find accommodation for three adults, two of which had mobility issues, when I found Thatch Close Cottages. The facilities suited us perfectly and we particularly appreciated the video tour of the property to ensure that it was suitable for our requirements.

Transport & Parking

The entrance is on a narrow country road but with passing spaces and we were able to park directly outside the entrance for unloading the car. There is a large parking area for cars once you have unloaded.

Access

The bonus for us was a downstairs toilet and level entrance through the wide doors. Brambles Barn has full wet room ensuite bathrooms for both rooms on the mezzanine level. To access to mezzanine level are two sets of five steps with non slip grip so my elderly Mum was able to use the stairs with confidence, hand rails on both sides were provided.

Edward and Marion are lovely people, friendly, informative and welcoming without being over bearing. They went through all the heating facilities, a speaking microwave, how to use the oven, the lights etc. There were many thoughtful touches throughout the barn such as emergency torches, a magnifying glass, sewing kit etc but a special mention for the welcome basket of bread, oat bars ( both home-made and utterly delicious), milk, butter, coffee, tea etc
