Review of Tesco Craigmarloch's Wheelchair access.

This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Wheelchair, Mobility Scooter
Overview
On arrival I was very pleased to see that the shop was one level and had disabled parking very close to the shop entrance. This ensures easy accessibility to all areas of the shop, including the café. All aisles of the store bar a couple were wide enough for wheelchair users. Due to a few aisles having very prominent and large pillars it meant that no wheelchair user could access them, which is a problem. In terms of toilet facilities Tesco Craigmarloch did have a disabled toilet, although it did have an emergency lever it was lacking in basic facilities. Such as; a working hand dryer, clean and refilled soap and a larger sink. All the staff were very friendly and helpful on our visit, I cannot fault them.
Transport & Parking
Tesco Craigmarloch had very good disabled parking. It was in a close range to the entrance to the store but enough distance apart from other parking bays, allowing for any procedures to be carried out with ease. In terms of bus services these were every thirty minutes. I would not recommend using these buses as they lacked in disabled accessibility.
Access
Signage was very well posted when accessing the store. As the store was one level it was very easy to manoeuvre around. The only fault in terms of the store would have to be not having access to all of the aisles due to there being pillars obstructing them.
Toilets
There was a toilet, although it was not sign posted very well. It was rather on the small size so I am sure manoeuvring within it would be very difficult for both the user and carer. The toilet was not clean and lacked basic sanitary products, such as a working Hand dryer and clean soap. The locks on the door were broken. However, there were grab rails and an emergency lever.
Staff
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
