Overview
Good access over all - 4 * rating due to one step from street, but the restaurant have thoughtfully created an excellent solution for wheelchair users.
Transport & Parking
This is London - they don't have their own parking. However, you can set-down/pick-up immediately outside, and there is ample disabled parking in the surrounding streets.
Access
There is one step into the restaurant from the street. However, the restaurant has installed a button for wheelchair users at the door. When we pressed it, the staff immediately appeared with an excellent ramp system which was set up within a minute. They offer further help getting inside if required. Once inside manoeuvring is fine as the tables are not too close together. The tables themselves are high enough to sit under with ease.
Toilets
Flat, large, clean, easy access.
Staff
All served with great good humour and patience. The wanted us all to have a great evening, and were happy to help in any way necessary (one waiter even pushed our friend up the ramp and down again - brilliantly). We really felt like valued customers, which is not always the case.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
http://www.tedrestaurants.co.uk The food was good (all dishes seemed different, interesting, and tasty, based on a table of 4 ordering a three-course meal). Drinks were excellent. The restaurant is fairly small, but well laid out and comfortable, and (in a booth) we felt very private. The staff were friendly, although they did take a while to bring some things, and one one occasion needed a reminder. However, we were having such a nice time that we didn't mind. Not cheap, but not very expensive - and (we thought) completely worth it.
