Overview

Tate St Ives is in a fairly hard to reach part of St Ives, particularly so in the summer. We reserved the Tate disabled parking spot before we came and arrived there on time. There are few signs there showing the way in so I got out to look and a few minutes later someone came out of the back entrance, having seen me on video, and offered to guide us in through the back route (the official way for wheelchairs from the carpark). Every member of staff we met was disability aware, friendly, helpful and went out of their way to assist us. The disabled toilet was superb. We have been to many "disability friendly" venues but this one really was - we award it 5 gold stars. The 'almost" in the title relates to the cafe which was too small for the number of visitors in a time of COVID.

Transport & Parking

4.5

We parked in the Tate carpark behind it adjacent to the public carpark. I imagine in the height of summer, everything would be full.
