Overview
Went to this hotel for lunch with the Shetland Support Group. Lunch was lovey & we had a nice visit.
Transport & Parking
There is a level tarmac car park just outside the entrance to the hotel however we didn’t see any designated accessible car parking spaces.
Access
The main entrance has steps but there is a ramp up to the door to the lounge bar which gives you access to the whole hotel. It can be confusing inside with lots of corridors but staff are willing & happy to show you where to go.
Toilets
There is an accessible toilet with enough room for a wheelchair. There are grab rails but no red emergency cord. The toilet was clean. I should have mentioned the lack of the red cord but it was busy, we were in a hurry & there was no suitable staff present at that time to talk to.
Staff
Staff were friendly & helpful but were very busy that day. T
Anything else you wish to tell us?
A nice hotel to visit with good food. It is near to the airport & various other attractions - Sumburgh Head visitor centre, Jarlshof, St Ninian’s Isle & Crofthouse museum, Dunrossness.
