Overview
Fantastic views, wildlife and visitors centre at Sumburgh head.
Transport & Parking
The parking as great. There is a general car park at the bottom of the hill, a drop off point half way up the hill, and then two disabled bays at the top of the hill at the lighthouse and visitors centre.
Access
Signage was really clear, with arrows all around pointing to where each attraction was. I visited around 8:30am, so the visitors centre and cafe were closed, but I still got to move around the area with ease and view the superb scenery.
Toilets
As the centre and cafe were closed, there were no toilets open for me to use so cannot comment.
Staff
There were no staff around to speak to, so cannot comment.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Sumburgh head is extremely high up, so the wind was very strong. It did prove to be a little difficult to transfer in and out of the car due to the high winds, but this might not always be the case.
