Overview

A good to place to visit for a change of scene and some fresh air. Lots of activities to keep you active.

Transport & Parking

There's a multitude of parking areas around the lake - or loch! We drove and found parking spaces easily. Getting there by public transport is a little tricker - Motherwell is the nearest train station and I didn't see any bus stops when we were in the Park.

Access

It was easy to get lakeside and there is a step free path that goes around the whole of the lake.

Toilets

There was an accessible public loo on the opposite side of the road from the car park but this really wasn't great. A much better idea is to head up to the Watersports Centre where they have a very spacious accessible loo. (See separate review)

N/A as we didn't see any Park staff

Anything else you wish to tell us?

Recommend it as a place to get away from it all for a couple of hours. It's a good place to take part in exercise - and free too!
