Overview
Friendly guides who didn't fuss but ensured I could cross roads as necessary and see the buildings too even when surrounded by other people walking with them. The buildings in my home town never fail to amaze me - so much history but lots of it is by looking up! Try it for yourself.
Transport & Parking
There is no parking as it is a 'walk round town' starting at the Bancroft Gardens, so use public parking. All council car parks are free to blue badge users with no time limit, if using a blue badge bay or any other space. On-street parking is also free with a mix of blue badge bays which have time limits, so check! Private car parks have a mix of charges. And don't forget Shopmobility at Bridgeway car park, 01789 414534, use a scooter of wheelchair for the day - donations are welcome or hire them for a longer period.
Access
This is a 'walk round town' and the only building is Holy Trinity Church which has level access at a side door. It might not be signposted so ask!
Toilets
Accessible public toilets round town require a Radar key and as usual some shops offer them too.
Staff
They are well trained and know their stuff about the history of town.
