Overview
'De Toko' is a relaxing place to stop for a drink or snack with beautiful beachside views. Outside is a lovely terrace with beautiful views of the sea. Inside, are large windows where you can enjoy the views out of the wind. The ceiling on the inside is decorated with jungle leaves and jungle themed stuffed animals, creating a fun environment. During the off season, only drinks and a limited menu is served. During the busy times of the year, you can order a full meal. This restaurant can be accessed by wheelchair on the road Strandslag Dorpsplein. On some evenings, Salsa dance lessons are offered.
Transport & Parking
Accessible parking is available in the city of Calantsoog. To access the beach by wheelchair, you need to go around the shopping areas on the north side of the street and access the beach through the road Strandslag Dorpsplein. Some portions of the road are a bit steep.
Access
The restaurant has a ramp to access the terrace, and the way into the restaurant is flat. There is plenty of room in the restaurant for a wheelchair. Beach wheelchairs can also be rented nearby. The restaurant contains one accessible toilet with handlebars.
Staff
Staff is friendly and eager to answer your questions. On busy summer days, it may take a few minutes to get the attention of the staff, as they are serving many people.
