Overview
Central location. Accessible for public transport. Friendly, user led service. All welcome.
Transport & Parking
Two disabled bays and further basement car park. Off street parking and large public car parks within 500 metres. Free shuttle bus stops outside. Approx. 1/2 mile from mainline train station and 1/4 mile to main bus station. fairly level from train station, uphill from bus station.
Access
Good clear signage visible from distance outside building. Ramp and steps at entrance. Automatic doors and loop system at reception, the latter normally manned all day. All level to ground floor including x3 accessible toilets. Enclosed platform lift to first floor, not suitable for shopmobility scooters or for more than 1 wheelchair plus one standing. Lift is joystick control and calling requires holding down button, assistance always available on request. No audio and no turning mirror in lift. Information available in alternative formats-some by request. BSL interpreters (from level 3 and above) usually available most days. Seats in reception for visitors.
Toilets
Choice of 3 on ground floor with hoists. 1 Standard, 2x shower toilets, ceiling hoists and movable sink units. Upstairs standard accessible toilet-no hoist with all other features in place.
