Overview
A lovely venue and I found it very accessible as a powerchair user. I couldn't find any disabled parking on site but for an event that spaces can be coned off if we ask. Huge car park though, and I was able to park my WAV with rear ramp very easily. There are two ways to access the conference / event facilities that are step free. One is via an external ramp to the right of the main staircase, however the ramp is very steep with no handrail and uneven paved floor. This then goes round to a shorter ramp to the main entrance. The other way in, which I found much better personally, was through the gym main entrance and up in the lift. This was much smoother and totally ramp free so probably better for wheelchair users and those who may trip easily, due to the uneven floor via the other way. The accessible toilet is nice and large, with room to transfer. It's also very light. The whole venue is very light and airy. The darkest area is the lift. It's small but fitted a powerchair and another person ok.
