Overview
Stanley Park turned out to be enormous and we didn't have enough time to explore everything. The tarmac paths made getting around easy for my powerchair and we visited the model village, the lakes, the Italian Gardens and more.
Transport & Parking
We arrived by bus to the East Park Drive side of the park. The bus was wheelchair accessible. There were plenty of entrances dotted around the park and several of these had parking nearby.
Access
Access in and around the park was good. We followed the various paths and explored around the lakes, gardens and activity areas. The Visitor Centre in the middle of the park was accessible. Finding you way was easy as there are loads of signs and a very good map that you can download from the website.
Toilets
There are accessible toilets in the Visitor Centre. Didn't need to use them so can't comment further.
Staff
The staff we met were friendly and helpful.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
There is a lot to do in the park. There are several formal garden areas, play areas for the kids, an athletics arena and track, high wire activities, model village, golf course and lakes. We returned for a second visit to explore as we ran out of time on our first trip.
