Overview
Level access pancake restaurant on the ground floor level of the Braehead shopping centre.
Transport & Parking
When you visit Braehead shopping centre it is free to park here and there are lots of parking spaces. The day I visited it was raining so I parked in the inside parking area next to M&S from here I was able go up the lift and into the shopping centre without getting wet from the rain. The only thing I would say is that the we found it difficult to find the disabled parking spaces so we just parked in a standard parking space. I’m not from Glasgow so I can’t comment on the public transport but my friend who lives in Glasgow and I met for a day of shopping got a bus to Braehead so I think buses must come from all over Glasgow or at least from the city centre of Glasgow.
Access
There are no steps to enter this restaurant and it is level access throughout. The restaurant is all open in the shopping centre and is very spacious. I was very happy to see that we were being seated at a circular table as I feel they are easier to get into with my wheelchair controller and I feel it’s easier to see everyone that you’re visiting with because I can’t really turn my head. Not all tables are circular. The table we were at was at a good height for my wheelchair. Menus were just made of card so not too heavy to pick up and I also didn’t find the cutlery heavy either.
Toilets
I can’t comment on the toilets here as I didn’t use them but I didn’t see any in the restaurant. There are definitely disabled toilets in the shopping restaurant and as far as I can see online there is also a Changing Place toilet.
Staff
I would say that the staff members I interact with at Stack and Still were friendly.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
I wouldn’t say I’m very fussy when I comes to how food is made or anything but my side of halloumi fries that I had were very dry and didn’t come with any dipping sauce which they usually do when I’ve had them in other restaurants. Also I didn’t feel our pancake was presented the best, I thought the bananas would have been cut up more into slices and the crunchie chocolate pieces would have been broken up more. You can see an image of the pancakes below. I didn’t notice any particular Covid-19 precautions in place at this restaurant but I would say I felt safe visiting because as I have said above I felt the restaurant was spacious enough.
