Overview
St Peter's Square Metrolink is highly accessible, as you'll find is the case at most of the stops on the tram network. Stopping close to Manchester's Majestic Central Library and right outside Wagamama, it's handy for both books and bento boxes.
Transport & Parking
I took the tram from the Etihad Station Metrolink, on a journey that took no more than 15 minutes. There isn't any dedicated parking near this location but there's level paving in the surrounding area, making it easy to access.
Access
It's hard to mark down any of the Metrolinks, as they do accessibility very well for public transport. There's ramp and stair access on either side of the platform, with yellow grab rails should you need them. The platform edge has tactile markings, with a large wheelchair user symbol indicating the accessible boarding spot. All trams stop level with the platform, so no ramps are needed. Platform signage is minimal but clear, though I didn't notice any alternative formats in use. However, induction loops are active on the tram. Rows of metal seats can be found on the platform, in addition to leaning seats inside the shelters. Both the ticket machine and tap-in/tap-out terminals can be reached from a seated position. Make sure to tap in on departure and tap out on arrival to avoid charges. At the time of writing, the charge for an incomplete journey is £4.80.
Toilets
There are no accessible toilets at this location, though you'll find several accessible toilets and a changing places toilet at the nearby Manchester Central Library.
