St Johns Beacon is the large tower that stands in the centre of the city looking over city and miles around. The Tower is also home to a number of local radio stations Access is via a single door at the base of the tower and while difficult to work out how to get it is worth doing so as the views are amazing

The tower is in the centre of the city and while it is in a pedestrian area Taxi ranks and local bus services are near to the beacon

Once in the door you will be at a reception desk for the local radio station they will contact the team who will take your payment then escort you to the lift that takes you up 400 feet. the viewing area goes round the support The windows are at a good level that allows anyone in a wheelchair to enjoy the views over the city. As you go round you find the local radio stations who are broadcasting live there are windows that allow you to watch them doing so

The staff are very friendly and will assist and answer questions you might have about what you can see from the top of the Beacon
Anything else you wish to tell us?
This Beacon is something that many people don't visit or know about which is unfortunate as it is worth visiting as long as you are okay with being 400 feet above ground
