Vaccination venue
Visit date:
This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Walking Aid, Wheelchair, Powerchair
Overview
Attended to receive my COVID vaccinations. Well organised and quick and smooth visit
Transport & Parking
I attended by wheelchair taxi, but plenty of parking outside the venue, and street parking, although no dedicated disabled parking spaces available outside venue. However as this is in the town centre parking spaces are soon taken up, so allow time to find a space. Public transport bus stop 5 minutes away, but quite a distance with no resting places, for those with mobility problems
Access
Ramp access , good signage Doors were heavy to open, but staff assisted with this
Toilets
Accessible toilet on site, but closed due to COVID restrictions, therefore not assessed on this visit
Staff
All staff were friendly and guided me through the registering process , where to go and explained the one way system.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Good clear signage Face masks worn Temperature taken before entering the vaccination area Plenty of hand sanitising stations. Social distancing in practice One way system clearly marked, and staff available for guidance and advice Nurse clearly explained what she was doing, and symptoms to look out for. Waiting area available post vaccination with seating socially spaced , and information leaflets re vaccine available Only criticism would be that if you were queuing out side waiting to enter the facility , there are no seats for those unable to stand for a period to rest, but staff were very approachable , so am sure one could be provided if necessary
