Overview
This beautiful, historic church has good access facilities and welcoming, helpful volunteer staff. It is also where Agatha Christie was married.
Transport & Parking
There are several buses that stop very nearby.
Access
On arrival it is not obvious where the step free route to the church is. We ended up using the stairs, which had a handrail, see photo. The website says that "Disabled access is through Princes Street Gardens or King's Stables Road." There are 3 steps with a handrail or a ramp to enter the church. On entering there is a large hallway and an information desk. The main church is step free at ground level or there are stairs to the gallery. The Memorial Chapel is where Agatha Christie married her second husband Max Mallowan. Unfortunately there are 6 steps with a handrail to get into the chapel, see photo.
Toilets
There is an accessible toilet with grab rails but no emergency cord. It is spacious and clean.
Staff
The volunteer was extremely friendly and knowlegable and helped to make the visit special.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
This is a lovely church and well worth visiting if you are in the area, especially if you are an Agatha Christie fan.
