Overview
It was a bit of a struggle over the dunes, which required a push through some soft sand. There was a narrow boardwalk for about half the way through the dunes. However it wasn't too far or so horrendous I wouldn't do it again! The beach was superb when I visited. Good firm sand after a few metres of soft stuff at the end of the dunes. We'd hoped to get all the way Bamburgh but had to turn back about two thirds of the way there due to a rocky outcrop the full width the beach.
Transport & Parking
Park on roadside at St. Aidan's. No designated bays. Uneven surface. Free.
Access
Once on the beach I was fine (I have a power trike). Slightly tricky over dunes. Help was needed on path through dunes in places and for a few metres at top of the beach.
Toilets
There's one in car park in Seahouses. None at St Aidan's.
