Overview
I visited the SSE arena in September 2024, to attend a concert. I found the arena itself to have very good accessibility. However we found it quite difficult to get a wheelchair accessible taxi outside after the concert.
Transport & Parking
There is a bus stop located outside the arena, there is also a taxi rank. However it took a while to get a wheelchair accessible taxi.
Access
I found the access within the arena very good, there is level access at the entrance. Once inside there are also plenty of lifts to take you up to the concourse and arena bowl. The accessible platform on the west side had plenty of room to get my chair situated and provided a great view.
Toilets
Toilets were very good, there is a changing places toilet located on the first floor.
Staff
The staff were excellent, they directed us and helped us find out exactly where we needed to go. Showing us where the accessible entrance was, the lift and then where our space on the platform was.
