Overview
I had an extremely positive experience as a disabled customer at this restaurant. I would say though that if I had been a wheelchair user who had driven to the venue, there would not, to my knowledge, have been spaces immediately outside where I could have parked.
Transport & Parking
This venue was on the main road, Nicolson Street, with no designated disabled parking.
Access
The venue has a chairlift up to the restaurant which has space for a wheelchair and also has a fold-down chair for ambulant disabled. The only disadvantage is that it is very slow, but it gets there in the end!
Toilets
The disabled toilet was on the same level as the restaurant. For myself, on crutches, it was perfect, but it would have been a bit tricky for a wheelchair user to negotiate round the tables to get there.
Staff
The staff went over and above the call of duty to help me. I managed to hop up the stairs as I hadn't realised there was a chair-lift. However, once I had told the staff of my difficulties with the stairs, one of the staff went to get the chair-lift and came up in it herself so that I could use it on the way down. I was very impressed by their eagerness to help.
