Overview

Smyths is a large toy shop in Falkirk's central retail park. Access inside this shop is generally good, although it can get very busy, particularly at the main entrance and exit where the checkouts and help desk are.

Transport & Parking

There are lots of accessible parking bays immediately outside the shop. The pavements are very flat and level leading from the parking spaces up to the shop. There is no immediate public transport nearby, although the local train station and main bus stops are about a ten or fifteen minute walk away.

Access

Smyths is a huge shop and can be quite overwhelming. Toys and games are stacked on shelves that near enough reach the ceiling, so staff have large ladders to retrieve items for you, but this can make browsing a little tricky. The corridors are exceptionally wide, although there can be abandoned toys left on the floor. All of the floors are very smooth. I didn't see any dropped counters at the checkouts, and it is a little bit more crowded in this corner of the store.

Toilets

I didn't see or use any customer toilets during this visit, so cannot comment.

Staff

The only staff member we interacted with was the person at the checkout. He wasn't very engaging.

Smyths is a convenient shop that is good for picking up something quickly, but isn't the best to browse as it is so large. There is certainly plenty of choice, and getting into, out of and around the shop should be okay. Just be cautious of toys left on the shop floor by customers in places!
