Overview
Despite having a severe mobility disability I was helped to do a skydive from 10,000ft to raise £1405 for MDUK. Great care was taken by Ian to fit me with the jumpsuit and harness and train me in what to do to do a safe skydive. Mark was my jump partner and enabled the great experience of diving through the air and then calmly parachuting back to the ground with a good , smooth landing.
Transport & Parking
While there are no disabled parking spaces no spaces are marked so there is plenty of space. It would not be possible to get public transport but you could probably get a taxi from Glenrothes.
Access
There was a ramp into the reception and a flat exit from the hangar.
Toilets
There was no accessible loo but the men's loo was fine for me as I was using a walking stick.
Staff
Ian was a great instructor and carefully kitted me up and helped me to and from the runway. Mark safely flew as my tandem buddy on the skydive.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Despite a disability this enabled me to feel free to fly and also to raise lots for charity. Definitely recommended.
