Overview
Afternoon Tea taken anywhere is a delight, and the Sky Bar on the top floor of Resort World Birmingham is no exception. MAY WE RECOMMEND YOU NOW READING on Euan’s Guide “Disabled Travellers very interesting history of Afternoon Tea” This will tell you all about your “Tea” selection and how it all started, how “Sandwiches” came about, who introduced the world to “Afternoon Tea” and where did the tradition of this delightful experience begin. ================================================== Our photos will show you that the “Sky Bar” is a very nice, relaxing, attractive area, with prices that are quite reasonable, seating is comfortable with room for your scooters. The Afternoon Tea was very nice, again at a price that is fair, and a very good selection of sandwiches and cakes, and worth the overall experience of taking “Tea” here. We conclude our review by offering you a few notes on the “Etiquette” of Afternoon Tea, as seen on our last photograph. ================================== NOW CHECK OUT OVER 400 reviews by “DISABLED TRAVELLER” on where to find and enjoy a day out in the British Isle. Transport & Parking
Arriving at the NEC and to enter the Resort World parking, which you find over to the left after driving along following the SIGNS FOR RESORT WORLD, you will see the undercover ramp to the left, signed for you on the right hand lane, and stay on the right in the carpark to turn into a number of disabled bays close to the Shopping entrance clearly signed. Parking is easy as it’s all on the level, just a slight uphill on a ramp to enter the shopping area by a lift. If you spend £20.00 on anything while in Resort World, anywhere, or collectively adding up your receipts, then you may stay all the day and just pay £3.00 by having your car park ticket authorised at the customer station at the heart of the shopping area, and then simply pay your £3.00 at any machine when you want to leave, by card or cash.
Access
It’s level everywhere for you throughout Resort World, and lifts are available to take you between carparks and upper floors. The main shops are on level 0 as are most of the restaurants, including Hollybowl, which is huge, and lifts will take you up to more on the first floor, then up again to the 5th floor for the SKY BAR AND RESTAURANT
Toilets
Toilets are signed for you, and the disabled toilets are quite large enough to take even the largest of scooters, with push bars and grab rails. They are tidy and clean, well maintained with no awful smells.
Staff
Everywhere you will be treated well by friendly staff.
