Overview
Small local history museum telling the history of Sidmouth from Jurassic times through to present times. Admission is free.
Transport & Parking
Sidmouth doesn't have a railway station. The 9 or 9A bus from Exeter takes about 35 - 45 minutes and stops at the Sidmouth Triangle, round the corner from the museum.
Access
There is a step into the museum. However they have a temporary ramp if step free access required. Only step free access on the ground floor. Upstairs is only accessible by stairs, which have a handrail.
Toilets
NA - there are no public toilets in the museum. However there is an accessible toilet requiring radar key, round the corner from the museum at the Sidmouth Triangle.
Staff
Staff were very helpful and welcoming.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
There are plans to get a permanent step free entrance but this will only provide access to the ground floor. There is a fine collection of rocks and fossils and a display of lace upstairs.
