Overview
Shudehill Metrolink is located just outside of Shudehill Interchange, which is a transport hub, bus station and ticket office. There is a small coffee shop and an accessible toilet at the Interchange. Further down the line, you'll find Manchester Victoria Railway Station.
Transport & Parking
There is no dedicated parking at this location but the following buses service nearby Shudehill: 18, 81, 112, 113, 117, 118, 119, 163, X41 Red Express and the X43 Witchway. Any bus that goes to the bus station at the interchange could also be helpful. Manchester Victoria Railway station is 1127 meters away.
Access
You can access the platform via ramps or stairs, yellow grab rails are available for support if needed. The platform edge has tactile markings, with a large wheelchair user symbol indicating the accessible boarding area. There is little signage, but it is clear. I didn’t notice any alternative formats but I know that induction loops are in use on the tram. On the platform, there are rows of metal seats, as well as leaning seats in the shelters. Both the ticket machine and tap-in/tap-out terminals are reachable from a seated position. Don’t forget to tap in when you leave and tap out when you arrive to avoid any charges. Currently, the fare for an incomplete journey is £4.80.
Toilets
There is an accessible toilet at the nearby Shudehill Interchange, which is functional though a little unpleasant.
