Overview
I have frequented this airport a number of times (fly in as private pilot) to visit friends or as a refuelling stop. Gorgeous art deco building (tho could do with a refresh at some point). Nice cafe / restaurant. Great air traffic and airport staff. This time however, was picking up passengers who had mobility needs. Things did not go so well.
Transport & Parking
Passengers joined via private hire cab.
Access
They have a disabled access ramp at the front door. Which takes you to a door that was not wide enough for a standard manual wheelchair. No signs / staff to ask (it was a Sunday, so maybe reduced crew), but found a separate disabled access on side of building.
Toilets
Took passenger to toilets, which required steps to get to. Perhaps there was a disabled access toilet but couldn't find it. No signage.
Staff
Airport staff friendly but in airport handling office, not in main building. Restaurant staff not interested if you are not there for the restaurant.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
No masks used, no active ventilation.
