Overview
Sezincote House is a 200 year old Indian Palace in the heart of the Cotswolds. It is strikingly beautiful and surrounded by lovely landscaped gardens. It is one of the most unusual places in the UK, yet seems largely undiscovered by tourists. It is still a family home and, as such, is only open at certain times and it is not possible to view the whole of the interior of the house. The house is only bookable as a tour which, I believe, takes about 30 minutes. There is no disabled access to the upper floor. The car park is quite a way from the entrance to the House and Gardens but there is a small disabled parking area close to the ticket office. I debated whether to take my light mobility scooter or walker round the gardens and opted for the walker. The use of either would be challenging. A sturdy mobility scooter would work well. The paths are loose gravel which is not ideal but I managed to get around most of the garden avoiding any steep hills. There is one disabled toilet at the ticket office. There is a cafe which is only accessible by steps.
