Overview
We have travelled three times down the length of the line from Bridgnorth to Kidderminster. Amazing lunch in 'Kiddy' station all themed to 1940's ready for their special events days. Beautiful views and worth every penny.
Transport & Parking
Parking on flat smooth surface next to the stations at either end - limited blue badge parking but we had no problem. In Bridgnorth - follow signs up the hill to the actual station not the lower car park. Enter the platform by the gate not the ticket office.
Access
Some say book first, some told us only one train carriage has access - in fact the two trains running both had ramped access into adapted carriages. Platforms are level access (you may have to cross the line with staff in some stations if you want to see the station on route). Flat access to restaurant at 'Kiddy'. No barrier between platform and track.
Toilets
Adapted toilets to varying degrees at Kidderminster, on adapted carriages and most other stations. You would have to be brave to use the loo on a rocking steam locomotive! See photo.
Staff
Very friendly, helpful everywhere - many volunteers and people who want to be there.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Great for all the senses, very accessible and fantastic food - that's why we've been back lots of times!
