Overview
Seven Stories is a fab museum - I loved it!! There is so much to do and lots of exciting exhibitions to see. The only reason I've given it four stars is because parking is fairly difficult and there isn't great public transport links.
Transport & Parking
Parking and transport to the museum is the hardest part of accessing this fab place! There is on street parking nearby (there is handy information on their website about this) but I couldn't see any disabled parking bays. There is a bus that you can get but you have to navigate down a fairly steep hill which might be difficult for wheelchair users.
Access
Fab! There is level entry through automatic (glass) doors which take you to reception. The museum is spread out over several floors but there is a lift (see photo) which is generous in size. The doors that lead into the exhaustion a are all double doors so there is plenty of space, they are quite heavy though. It was great to see that the videos around the museum were both captioned and BSL interpreted. I went on Disabled Access Day during their early opening which was great, perfect time to explore the museum without the hustle and bustle and lots of exciting activities happening throughout the day. There are lockers in the museum which you can use free of charge if you want to leave things why you wander around.
Toilets
Great! There are accessible toilets on several floors, some are within the male/female toilets and some are specific accessible toilets. They are spacious, with red cords hung correctly!
Staff
Super friendly and very helpful!!
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Really great museum - couldn't recommend visiting enough! If you're a Harry Potter fan then there is a special exhibition on at the moment.
