Overview
Visited to see the brilliant Roy Lichtenstein exhibition they have on at the moment - really enjoyable visit as usual! This review is for Modern One.
Transport & Parking
If coming by car there is set disabled parking. It is about 15 mins from Haymarket station. For the more active you can also access the gallery by a set of stairs coming up from the Water of Leith. If you're arriving from Belford Road you know you're at the right place as there is an Antony Gormley statue to greet you at the entrance!
Access
Brilliant! They've put a lot of thought into their accessibility. There is a ramp to the side of the main steps at the entrance. There is a decent sized lift serving all floors. There are helpful large print guides located at the entrance to most of the main galleries. The one place that was a little crowded was the shop.
Toilets
Staff
Friendly and willing to assist.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
when I visited they had a 'bothy' in the grounds featuring the ArtLink Swap Shop - brilliant idea - don't think this is here all the time but it's a great idea!
