Overview

Very accessible with plenty open space to move around. Entrance is via ramped access with double doors and Lift access to all floors makes this a very pleasurable experience!

Transport & Parking

3

There are a limited number of parking spaces directly outside the building. There are bollards stopping cars entering this area but security comes out and you just need to request accessible parking with showing the blue badge and if there is enough space they will let you in. Otherwise parking can be problematic as it is located in the centre of town. There is an excellent public transport service, with numerous buses stopping within a few minutes walk and a tram stop almost directly outside the door.

with ramped access at the entrance and plenty space inside and lifts to all levels I found it extremely accessible for wheelchair users. The only slight drawback is the double doors at the entrance but security are always on hand and very willing help negotiate this.

Toilets

3.5

I was in The accessible toilets at garden level, next to the cafe/restaurant and they are adequate although not a great deal of space for a powered wheelchair.

Have always found the staff friendly and helpful.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

This is well worth a visit. Beautiful building, relaxing atmosphere and outstanding artwork. They also have different exhibitions throughout the year. The cafe and restaurant are also good.
