Overview
Good overall access in and around the Museum
Transport & Parking
They have space for 8 or 9 blue badges right outside the main entrance with the usual London public transport if you need it. I;d suggest to get there before 10:30 as it does get busy.
Access
Flat access to get through wide front doors, through reception, down a long shallow ramp to get into the main part of the museum. Lots of space around the exhibits but it can get busy so give yourself plenty of time. There are plenty of lifts throughout. Try the IMAX theater which shows 3D movies - wheelchair access is via a staff lift but the staff bent over backwards to help. Wheelchair seating at the back of the theater with large gaps for wheelchairs and buggies alongside a small number of regular seats for the family.
Toilets
Quite a few disabled toilets but some include baby changing facilities so had to queue a couple of times. They were clean though and well laid out.
Staff
Everyone seems very helpful and attentive, couldn't fault their staff.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Very close to the Natural History museum and other West End attractions so take a map and have a wonder round if you have time. There are a couple of restaurants for food and drink which were normal London prices. If you take a picnic you can sit just about anywhere you want to eat it and there are seats and tables dotted around the place. Plan to spend all day there if you want to see everything.
