Overview
All public parts of the palace are accessible, with helpful attendants to escort wheelchair visitors up and down in lifts.
Transport & Parking
Can't comment on the parking. Schoenbrunn U-bahn station ( fully accessible) is ten minutes' level wheel away, with one main road to cross at traffic lights.
Access
The ticket office is fully accessible. The courtyard and gardens are mainly gravel, some of which was quite hard going. The. Interior of the palace is level and smooth, with attendant-operated lifts connecting the floors.
Toilets
There's an accessible toilet at the very far end of the ticket office, reached by a platform lift. There's another one just inside the visitor entrance to the palace. Both are a reasonable size and have grab rails and alarms.
Staff
Friendly, helpful and English-speaking.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
We took the short self-guided tour (with audio guides) which meant that we looked around the state rooms at our own pace. Tickets are timed to prevent congestion but we only had to wait about 15 minutes. We enjoyed a snack in the Residenz Cafe, the outdoor parts of which are fully accessible. The gardens are lovely but the gravel paths were quite heavy going for this accompanist.
