Review of Scarborough Seafront
Visit date:
This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Powerchair, Speech Impairment
Overview
My first solo trip out in my powerchair so I decided on an easy one. Parking at the Sea Life Centre at Scalby Mills. Payment required even for blue badge holders. Made my way along the seafront in the north bay, around the Marine Drive into the south bay and on to the spa complex at the far end. All flat and relatively easy going. There are disabled toilets at the Sea Life Centre, the Marine Drive (north side), near the lighthouse pier (south side), on the fish pier (harbour), on the seafront (across the road from the beach), and in the main foyer at the Spa Complex. I didn't use any of them but they are there at least!

Toilets
Not having used them myself I scored 3.5 based on the number available. At the time of my visit there was scaffolding at the entrance to the fish pier toilets rendering them unusable for a powerchair user!
