Family visit to Sea Life Scarborough

Overview
We found it very difficult to get around Sea Life Scarborough with our son. He is in a pushchair style wheelchair and he seemed to be too wide for many of the spaces. It says on the website that they recommend not bringing pushchairs for young children however there were loads of people with pushchairs , some had their babies in carriers so were pushing empty buggies. It made it harder for us to navigate round. The tunnel was a real low point as you went through and then had to turn round and go back if your were in a chair. It took us 3 attempts to try and get through as we kept meeting buggies and the tunnel was too narrow to get past them. Sea Life Blackpool had a buggy park and encouraged people not to take them in. Perhaps this would be a good addition.
Transport & Parking
There were disabled spaces near the entrance but not many and you still had to pay and display with a blue badge.
Access
Very poor. Lack of signage of wheelchair route and the someone was stuck in the lift while we were there. A lot of spaces were too narrow for larger chairs to get through easily.
Toilets
No changing places toilet.
Staff
Spoke to one member of staff to ask about wheelchair route. She was new but tried hard to help us.
