A morning of talks and performances exploring Beethoven’s life as a deaf musician and composer.
Explore Beethoven investigates the links between musical creativity and deafness, untangles some of the myths, and explores how his ground-breaking music changed the relationship between composer and performer.
Find out more about what it might have been like to be deaf in Beethoven’s time from Paul Whittaker OBE, who will also talk about his own experiences as a deaf musician.
