Overview
Luca’s are originally based in Musselburgh to the east of Edinburgh but have a very busy and lucrative parlour at Holy Corner, Bruntsfield, Edinburgh. As the name suggests, a Church on each corner and Lucas is on the southbound side of the road at Churchill, It is an independent ice cream and confectioners that also is a cafe. Downstairs is wheelchair accessible and mobility supportive, with 2 disabled, fully equipped and spacious toilets, radar keys can be used. The ice cream service area is low and glass fronted, the selection of ice creams and sorbets is extensive, many surprising flavours and combinations - Irn Bru, Jaffa cake, bubble gum flavour are just a few, they constantly revolve their stock so be prepared for changes. There is a full selection of carry out ice creams from cones, tubs and ice cream cakes that can be made to order. To compliment the desserts there is a fully provisioned menu which includes one for wee ones and the less hungry with coffees and teas, Open from 10am.
Transport & Parking
Busy street, ample parking excellent bus service service with routes 11, 15, 16, 23, 36 and 45 stops within 50m on each side of the road.
Access
It’s a very busy cafe on both levels popular with mother and baby, toddlers and pupils after school and at weekends. Has a good atmosphere and is often a Edinburgh Festival Fringe venue.
Toilets
Fully appointed, clean and well serviced toilets given the popularity, ample room for wheelchair and carer.
Staff
Lucas are a family run business, so there is the essential focus on families. Very friendly and welcoming.

The mixed and varied range of ice creams and everything that goes with it and hand made confectionery is well worth the visit, you don’t know what you might end up with. Assistance dogs are welcome.
