Overview
Generally perfectly accessible with staff willing to do all they can to help.
Transport & Parking
Next to Ryde bus station, next to the hovercraft from Southsea (10 mins journey, the hovercraft itself is wheelchair accessible). Near to Island Line train station. Large public car park, half a dozen of blue badge parking bays, regularly patrolled by traffic wardens and disabled bays are very rarely abused. Blue badge holders park free
Access
Flat access, hard to open double doors at entrance High counter for payment/booking but staff very helpful Interior carpeted and ramped to the bowling lanes. small portable ramps available for access to the lanes themselves ball chutes available for those unable to throw a ball Lane barriers on each lane if required. Drinks/food ordering bar available, counter height is too high for wheelchair users/people of short stature but staff always willing to help. Cafe area perfectly accessible
Toilets
1 disabled toilet. No RADAR key needed Large enough for carer and turning a wheelchair Drop down hand rail. Mirror badly placed and damaged Generally a bit grubby No changing places toilet
Staff
I have visited many times. All staff always helpful and pleasant. Excellent customer service from assistant manager (Nathan) at all times. Bar staff will always carry food/drink for you with no problem
Anything else you wish to tell us?
This venue is perfectly accessible for wheelchair users and I have returned many times. An automatic front door would be a great improvement and some of the small wooden lane access ramps could do with replacing. The toilet needs maintenance
