Overview

Very pleasant overnight stay at this new Warner Leisure hotel, opening October 2024. DO READ OUR OTHER REVIEWS. JUST TYPE IN “RUNNYMEDE”. ON EUANS GUIDE IN SEARCH BUTTON AREA. 1. Runnymede on Thames hotel. 20 photos to help you 2. Runnymede and Ankerwycke. History of the Magna Carta, at Runnymede. 3. Runnymede accessible room. Stayed in number 151. With photos. 4. Runnymede Warner Leisure resort. Will be reviewed mid November 2024. Our second visit here, and just as pleased as our visit 12 months earlier. We stayed overnight in room 151. Very spacious and comfortable, ideal for disabled, even large chairs can be accommodated. HOWEVER, the lift is of no use other than for a normal size wheelchair, very small and narrow, and even though hotel is now to be converted into a WARNER LEISURE RESORT, the lifts will remain just these small lifts, very dissapointing.

Transport & Parking

3.5

There are just two disabled parking bays close to main entrance for hotel, and this involves a ride over paved stones, but reasonably easy enough. There are bays in other car park areas, but will require quite a ride to then get into hotel.

Access

4

To enter main door from disabled bays is basically on the level, with the need to ride over paved stones, but quiet easy enough. The main entrance has two side pull push doorways, as well as a revolving door, which would be difficult to open on your own, you will need help from your carer. Everything in the hotel is on the level, but be warned, the lifts are very small. the wheelchair user may have to ride up and down on their own, depending on size of chair, but a scooter may struggle to get in. Forget trying if you use a large scooter.

Toilets

4

We only saw ladies and gents toilets, but these can take wheelchairs easily enough. READ OUR OTHER REVIEW FOR RUNNYMEDE TO SEE PHOTOS. Grab rails and pull cord provided.
