This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Walking Aid, Wheelchair, Powerchair, Mobility Scooter
Overview
Everything accessible for wheelchairs and scooters with good cafe facilities and nice views for those unable to travel very far, including a hide right next to the Centre. Visitor Centre with free access to cafe, charge to go on reserve, free for RSPB members. The good news is a big lottery grant means the reserve is expanding!
Transport & Parking
Blue badge parking close to the Centre (about 50 yards). You could drop off even closer.
Access
Inside and out accessible with most paths easy to use. Couple of the hides up a steepish gradient and one muddy bit in winter on the way out to the reed beds. Lift to cafe with a balcony with seats and great views (if warm enough). Plenty of room inside.
Toilets
Two disabled loos beside the shop.
Staff
Helpful staff who will advise on routes around the reserve although all are accessible.
