Overview

brilliant facilities. We hired Royston And Wardieburn Community Centre for our two boys' birthday party and it was excellent value and we found it to be a very accessible venue for their Nanna who is blind. We also had a couple of children with additional needs who found the large, spacious games hall, accessible toilets and various quiet spaces very useful. The games hall was well equipped for the party with bouncy castle, soft play area and goal posts and balls with separate dining space. The wide corridors, automatic doors and large accessible toilet made it easy for Carol to get around using her cane. Staff were brilliant, very helpful and polite. The place was spotlessly clean (though perhaps not after 35 kids had run riot through it!) but nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Would highly recommend for accessibility (and definitely for children's parties!) facilities all on ground floor.

Transport & Parking

Bus stop is right outside venue. There is also drop-off parking right outside and several spaces along street.

Access

Everything was on ground floor, automatic, wide doors. Bright building and things were signposted, but reception is right as you go in and friendly staff are happy to show you where to go if you can't see/read/understand the signs. Carol found it easy to navigate round with her cane.

Toilets

Large, spacious, exceptionally clean with no trip hazards. I think it also has an accessible shower, but will double check for clarification next time I visit.

Staff

Above and beyond. Friendly, helpful and the place is exceptionally well maintained.

I'd highly recommend this place and we'll be returning. It has loads of different classes, sessions and facilities so it's well worth looking them up online to see if anything interests you. Great value too.
