Overview
No one ever *wants* to go to hospital but if you do then this place is accessible and welcoming… And the staff are fantastic.
Transport & Parking
There are lots of buses that head to the hospital. The main bus stop is a bit of a walk away from the “Sick Kids” through the Royal Infirmary building. The advantage of this is that you can grab a coffee or snack at M&S if you want to. If travelling by car and you have blue badge you can go right past the door and there is a car park with a barrier next to the entrance. There’s also a drop off lay-by outside the hospital and a taxi rank too.
Access
We find it easy to get around. The two places we go most frequently now are the two reception areas in ground and first floors - and associated consulting rooms. Both of these light and airy with different chair / bench set ups and toys for kids. X-ray is on ground floor. And if you’re heading to upper floors then there are plenty of lifts and they’re spacious.
Toilets
Multiple Accessible loos clearly signposted and Changing Places loos too.
Staff
Amazing!! Everyone we’ve dealt with helpful, knowledgeable and kind.
