Overview

We stopped here for a meal when in the area. The restaurant is on the outskirts of Newark and has a premier inn next to it. There are a number of parking bays for disabled blue badge holders outside the main entrance. To both the restaurant and hotel. Entrance to the restaurant is level as is the majority of the inside. Once inside we waited to be seated by a member of staff who asked we had parked in a disabled bay and if so could we give the car registration number as other guests who were not disabled had been found to use the spaces and the management were monitoring the car park, she also asked if either of us had any allergies and we explained what mine were . This was made a note of to avoid a issues when ordering meals . We were then shown too a suitable table that had plenty of room for my wheelchair. There was a good choice of meals on the menu. As I don’t have very good grip in my hands we asked. For a steak knife so I could cut my own food the waitress brought this over. When our meals arrived. Which were well presented and cooked. The staff were helpful and the service was quick and efficient .

Transport & Parking

Disabled blue badge holder parking right outside the entrance and there were slopes up from the parking area and into the restaurant. Making it easy for access

Access

Staff were happy to help if needed and a note of allergies was made so advice could be given when ordering food. Just about the whole restaurant is on one level no steps .

Toilets

The toilets had plenty of room for the wheelchair . There were grab rails. And a lower sink with a lower soap dispenser and also a lower hand drying machine meaning I could sit in the wheelchair to use these.

Staff

All the staff were nice and helpful , I found it particularly helpful that they asked about allergies upon arrival and would have provided a menu with all the relevant information on

Anything else you wish to tell us?

The restaurant still had a hand sanitizer machine at the entrance, all tables were cleaned as soon as guests left and reset
