Overview
Great place to visit if you're a Rock and Roll or music fan. Lot's to learn and see in the various exhibitions. Great fun to be had on the third floor trying out different instruments and playing along in the studio with their in house band! You could spend the day here, really cool building to explore with good accessibility throughout. Also has a nice cafe to take a break whenever you like! It can get quite loud in different exhibitions, but the venue can provide sensory bags which include noise dampening headphones as well as sunglasses, communication cards, weighted lap pads and fidget toys. They also provide onsite wheelchairs and the option to rent a scooter for $10. There is also the option to book an American sign language interpreter in advance of your visit.
Transport & Parking
There is public disabled parking on the street but this is not reserved for the hall of fame.
Access
There are dropped curbs to accesss the Hall of Fame. There are a few members of staff at the desk right inside the door who help with opening the door on arrival if needed. Disabled access signage is good throughout to toilets, lifts and ramp access to different exhibitions. There is lift access to all 6 floors as well as wheelchair accessible seating within the theatres. There is seating scattered throughout the building to stop and have a rest. American sign language interpreters are available to book in advance. There is also braille and large print exhibit materials and guides available.
Toilets
Accessible toilets were easy to find and well sign posted. They have grab rails and space for a carer. There was not an emergency red cord in the accessible toilet.
Staff
Very helpful and friendly with plenty of staff located on each floor and available to help.
