Overview
Lovely restaurant beside the waterfront, family friendly with inside play area for the kids. Great food and when I visited it was nice and quiet, so had an enjoyable meal and catch-up with my friend.
Transport & Parking
There were plenty of disabled parking spaces at the restaurant and they are a reasonable distance from the front entrance.
Access
There was a slight step to get into the restaurant, however my chair cannot get up anything higher than 3cm and I just managed to get in. I did need support to get out because when I go down any bump I need someone to support my chest due to me not having upper body strength and I could fall forward. I don't know if they have a ramp for easier access as I didn't need to ask due to me being able to just get in with a running start. Could not see a sign to say beware of the step. See photo below of the step. I felt that the tables, especially the one we were at, was quite low down and the frame of the table was rubbing the top of my knee. Therefore if I was a millimetre higher I wouldn't get under the table. I'm not sure 100% how the other tables were, although when looking around they all looked to be the same height. Also I struggled slightly to reach things on the table due to the height. Again this can be seen slightly in my picture. All in all the restaurant was very spacious and plenty of space between tables. There is a seating area up a couple of stairs but majority of the tables are on the level access floor.
Toilets
Can not be accessed as I couldn't use due to being a hoist transfer. Although where I was sitting I could see they definitely had a disabled toilet and it was close to the dining area.
Staff
Only spoke to one member of staff when necessary however she was very friendly and helpful. When people watching around the restaurant all the staff seemed to be very nice.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Food was really good. I had the broad bean, pea & pecorino croquettes from the summer special menu. I don't eat very much so when I go out for tea I usually just have a starter. I know the food was so good because even though I have starter I still don't finish food and I cleared my plate.
